Author's Guidelines and Deadlines

An international scientific committee will review abstracts and papers and will assure the scientific quality of the conference. Representatives of international academic institutions and relevant industry sectors, from all over the world will be designated to participate in the Committee. Professor Enrico Rizzuto from the University of Genoa has been appointed for chairing the NAV 2022 Conference Scientific Committee. NAV 2022 proceedings are foreseen to be indexed by Scopus.

Author's Guidelines

The Abstract shall be submitted within November 16st, 2021. After the notification of Abstract acceptance, the author will be required to submit the Paper within March 31st, 2022. The papers will be subject to peer review. If corrections are required, the corrected version shall be submitted as soon as possible and in any case not after 15th May 2022.

Abstracts and Papers have to be written in English.

Instructions for preparing the abstract:

  1. The Abstract shall be submitted using indico management system (an indico user is required. NOTE: the registration to indico is not valid as registration for the conference attendance)
  2. Click on Call for Abstracts on the side menu.
  3. Click on Submit new abstract button and fill the submission form.
  4. The abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Instructions for preparing the paper:

  1. The paper shall be submitted ‘camera-ready’, but without page numbers or running headlines. 
  2. The Author shall follow IOS Press Instructions and use Word or LaTeX Templates for the preparation of an Electronic  Camera-Ready Manuscript. Both can  be  downloaded  from  the  Service  page  for authors on IOS Press website
  3. The paper shall be submitted through the conference management system Indico. The following files shall be uploaded:
    1. If the Author submits the paper in Word:
      1. MS Word document (filename.doc);
      2. An identical high-resolution PDF file with all fonts embedded (filename.pdf)
        (We recommend Adobe Acrobat Distiller and the job option Press-Optimized.)
    2. If the Author submits the paper in LaTeX:
      1. A single zip file containing the source code and figures (filename.rar);
      2. A high-resolution PDF file generated from the source files you submit (filename.pdf)
  4. The Author shall not submit more than one version of the same item.
  5. All the submitted files shall have the same filename with different extensions. The filename shall be the word "paper" followed by an "_" and then the paper id number
    (e.g. paper_134.doc, paper_134.pdf, paper_134.rar)
  6. All the files shall be uploaded by clicking on My Conference/MyContributions, then, after selecting the paper to be uploaded, click on Submit Paper button. Then drag and drop all the files required at point 3 and click Save button.
    Do not upload any file through edit button in the presentation material section.
  7. The length of the ‘camera-ready’ paper should not exceed 8 pages.

Papers non-compliant with these instructions will not be accepted.

Deadlines:

  • Submission of Abstracts:  December 30, 2021
  • Notification of provisional acceptance: January 10, 2022
  • Submission of full-length papers: April 8, 2022
  • Notification of final acceptance: May 15, 2022
  • Early registration: from  May 25, 2022
